101: A Road Map
As soon as you delve into the world of manifesting, it is common to feel overwhelmed. Between the doubting, fear and impatience, there may be moments of bliss and harmony, where everything seems to be unfolding perfectly, before we find ourselves, yet again, back at square one.
The journey can look anything but smooth.
I think it is useful to provide a very brief, general overview of what the manifesting journey looks like. This will give you a roadmap so you know what you can expect when it comes to manifesting.
The key to successful manifesting rests in your ability to believe you now have your desired outcome. Not tomorrow, not in the next six months. We must believe it is so now.
Great.
We are now in that relationship; we now have that dream job. We are now homeowners. We remain loyal to this assumption; allowing our imagination to feast upon these desired scenarios.
Remember, we are talking about our imagination only – logic and reason are banned from the party.
Are you single without any prospect of date? Doesn’t matter. Not qualified for the dream job? That’s not relevant. There is nothing stopping you from imagining these things are a present tense-reality, right now. Free yourself within and experience all that you want to experience. Go wild. Fall in love. Most importantly, have fun.
Living in imagination is one thing - but what about physical reality of our desires? We want to experience things in the flesh! The premise of manifesting can be summed up in the following: “an assumption, though false, if persisted in, will harden into fact” (Neville Goddard). For now, we will leave the metaphysics aside.
This practice take effort and vigilance; we are literally turning the tables on common sense logic. This is radically different mindset and it certainly can take time to get used to.
Before i finish, a word on doubt. The mind will doubt.
My advice is to allow the mind to do what it will do. It will find every possible reason as to why you cant have your desire. Such doubt is a natural part of the process. And that’s ok, if you learn not to fight it.
Remaining loyal to your imagined reality will allow you to march forth toward your desired reality, for repetition breads familiarity. Things will start to become easier to entertain. In other words, they will become more natural. As we remain loyal to our new internal reality, we find ourselves occupying two distinct words simultaneously.
Without this naturalness first established, the attainment of our desires are impossible. As the great metaphysician Neville Goddard explains: “The fact that it does not feel natural to you to be what you imagine yourself to be is the secret of your failure”
Don’t worry; this process doesn’t have to happen overnight. All we do is remain loyal, firmly and repeatedly fixing our attention on a seemingly false assumption. It may be hard and awkward at first, but in time this should pass; it is then that the magic can unfold.
